How this story starts .....

In December 2013 we sold our much loved sports cruiser Searay 370 'Elise' and bought a Reline 41 SLX 'Geisha' which is a steel boat built in Steenwijk, Holland.  This was a difficult decision to make as 'Elise' had been a brilliant boat for us, perfect for the time we had spent on the French Canals and later in the south west of France at Lattes, Montpellier but we had spent such a long time on the Canals we decided that this was where we wanted to stay and that our days of cruising up and down the coast were by and large over.  So, the decision was made to sell and buy a single engine boat more suited to the European Canal network.

We bought our boat from Gorden at Sleeuwijk Yachting who was very helpful and arranged a part exchange on the boat we wanted to buy which saved us time in having to wait for a buyer for our boat.  Gorden was also able to offer us a mooring at his marina which was well situated being only a short drive from the ferry port Hook of Holland.  So, just a few days before Christmas in 2013 we moved all our belongings (no mean feat!) from one boat to another and another boating chapter began for us.

We spent most of the next year working on the boat, upgrading systems and generally making her our own.  However there were some jobs that we knew would be easier for us to have done at home so last year in June '15 we left our moorings in Sleeuwijk in Holland and decided to head back to the UK.  During the last 12 months we have had new upholstery, new canopies, fitted a washing machine, a solar panel and a new dashboard.  Finally my husband is completely happy and we are ready to start our cruising adventures again!!
